Why MBA?
My name is Syed Aazar; and I have illegal and legal expertise in business. I have been attracted to the outcomes of business from an early age. The psychology of business has always been my passion. I am fascinated how people operate, and how other individuals can generate a living based on catering to the emotions of society. Think about it, one person can feed generations by feeding the egos of common fold in society. Also, business is multi-dimensional. It is 2024, and execution (if done correctly) of ideas can be classified as a successful business.
My First Story
I have been affiliated with many businesses during my time on this planet. My first business venture was illegal, but it taught me a lot of skills that I segwayed into my legal endeavors. I used to sell alcohol when I was 15. You may be appalled, but I actually learned a lot from this journey. My business plan was simple. Alcohol was considered a luxury good that was difficult to get given the age group of my cohort. We just started high school and partying became a reality. People used to undergo strenuous efforts just to get a six pack of beer. They had creative methods of getting alcohol. Kids used to hang around liquor stores for hours, looking for a guy who looked chill enough to buy their alcohol. I had a unique advantage in this regard. My parents were hyper social at the time and used to host and attend lots of networking events. Whenever they hosted something, guests would always buy them expensive alcohol. As I am from a Muslim background, my family does not drink which worked to my advantage. My parents would graciously accept the alcohol, then store it in a cupboard in our basement. Then, when they would attend others’ functions they would give a bottle of alcohol they received. This was perfect; they were giving expensive gifts without spending a dime. I stumbled across this stash of liquor when I was doing press ups in my basement. My brain flew into overdrive and I knew I had something going. I would pour a little bit of alcohol in a bottle, remix it with some fruits/juices and leave it on my window gutter. Kids would sneak out at night, leave $20 in the gutter and go. People were still novel with alcohol, so even though I didn’t provide crazy amounts of intoxicant I gave enough to keep the folks coming. I made about three grand, which was pretty decent for a kid with no overhead cost and 100% profit.
